America Rows and Swims Newburgh is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. Our mission is simple: to make water sports such as rowing and kayaking more accessible to youth and adults in the greater Newburgh area; and to provide free Water Confidence Clinics to youth and adults in the greater Newburgh area. We are not a “brick and mortar” organization, our team of community leaders raise funds through grants, donations, and fundraising events to support organizations such as the Student Ambassador Program of the Newburgh Rowing Club, where underserved youth learn to kayak and row on scholarship, free of charge.

We also provide year-round weekly water confidence clinics to underserved youth. Currently, we are offering free water confidence and Learn to Swim Clinics for underserved youth in the greater Newburgh area at the Union Avenue Community Fitness Center in New Windsor.

America Rows Newburgh is an official affiliate of America Rows, an inclusion rowing program of USRowing, the governing body of the sport of rowing in America.

For more information on how to access the programs, how to volunteer, or how to donate, contact Director Juliana LoBiondo at newburghrowers@gmail.com. As a 501(c)(3) recognized organization under the Internal Revenue Code, all donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Your donation will have a great impact on a child’s life and will be helping to make the community in Newburgh a better place.

No experience needed! Under-served youth living in the area may qualify to row on scholarship through the Student Ambassador program (“America Rows and Swims Newburgh”), sponsored by the Hudson River Improvement Foundation and USRowing’s America Rows.  For more information on the Student Ambassador Program and the Water Confidence Clinic, visit the America Rows and Swims Newburgh website at:  www.RowSwimNewburgh.org.
